FAQ

How much will my translation cost?
A translation is calculated on the basis of text length, which is measured in standard lines (55 characters including spaces), words or standard pages.

How do I pay?
My preferred method of payment is via bank transfer. For customers outside the eurozone, I can also accept payment via PayPal. If you collect the translated documents in person, I also accept payment in cash.

Can you provide a certified translation?
Yes.
I will certify the accuracy of the completed translation with an official stamp, my signature and the appropriate clause. The translation will then be attached to the source text and I will state in writing whether I received the source text in its original form, as a copy or as a verified copy. Some authorities only accept translations made from the original document. So, although a copy is often sufficient, please check with the relevant authorities what their requirements are.

Do you offer proofreading services?
Yes.
I provide proofreading and editing services of English documents.

Are you an interpreter?
Although I am qualified to work as an interpreter, I only offer written translations. Feel free to contact me if you need help finding an interpreter, or visit the online database on the BDÜ website.

Are you a member of a professional organisation?
Yes. I am a member of the BDÜ - the professional association of interpreters and translators in Germany.

How can I find translators or interpreters for other languages?
If you are searching for translators for other language pairs or interpreters, you can use the BDÜ's online database for translators or interpreters. Just visit the BDÜ's website, change the language if required and use the database search function on the right side of the page.
